Today was officially a rest day and as
such I did very little apart from watch some italian tv and do a fair
bit of studying for really the first time since I got here. I have
been reading some italian books but this was study using my grammar
guide so it counts as official study. Initially I had the laptop out
on the balcony overlooking the lake but in the shade there it was
still 32c so I decided to bring it inside where it was a little
cooler.
In the evening I'd planned to meet
Chiara for dinner. I got there about 7:30pm and Andrea was already
there and dinner was almost ready, just the gnocchi to cook. Talk
was of first day back at school (they are both teachers) and Andrea
was clearly very tired from his return to work. At some point before
heading north/west I had to pick up my wine from Chiara's parent's
cellar so we made the trip over and it was nice to see Giorgio and
Anita again. After a short while Chiara went home to walk the dog
and get some sleep and I was left with the parents to practice my
italian.... 2 hours later I left to go back to the bed and
breakfast.... I think I did enough language study today!

who she is....
